Carl at the pumpkin patch

“Carl” was not really named Carl, but that is the nickname he acquired somehow in our home. He was the sweetest and possibly one of the happiest little boys we have ever had the pleasure to meet.

Carl was placed with us only a few days after his birth. His biological mother was in prison when he was born. Her mom was supposed to come to pick him up and never showed up.

He had a great-aunt that would have been a safe and loving home Her home needed repairs after one of the midwestern storms ripped up her roof and a fly by night company took her money and never came back to finish the job.

He lived with us for almost his full first year of life. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. You can hear all about it in this episode.
