Jason and Amanda Palmer are mom and dad to 7 kids that have called us mommy and daddy over the years and also several foster kids as well, and this is our blog and podcast site.
We have fostered almost 20 children over the last decade and adopted 4 of them. It has been one of the most formative and impactful experiences of our adult lives. We hope to be able to inspire some of you to do the same!
We also host the Foster Care: An Unparalleled Journey podcast that you should be able to find anywhere you get your podcasts. We talk about our experiences and the lessons on our journey.
We also hold space for others to tell their story of foster care or adoption.
We invite professional helpers that can support or guide former and current foster youth, foster and adoptive parents, or anyone who is involved in the child welfare system.
We hope to inspire the best of you to join us on our journey of providing strength for the weakest among us!
Jason is a hobbyist blacksmith that got into the craft as a way to vent the frustrations of raising teen boys and making knives at the same time.
It has led to some unique experiences, not the least of which was an opportunity to be on the History Channel’s show Forged In Fire. If you are interested in watching the episode he was in, it was Season 6 Episode 18 – the Messer Sword.
